• I highly recommend making the most of the available resources in American high schools. Even in remote areas, there are many opportunities, such as volunteering at nursing homes, animal rescue centers, and tutoring centers. These organizations are common in the U.S. You can also create a club and become a club leader to organize activities. Don't worry if no one joins at first—just start, and you'll meet like-minded people along the way. Also, talk to your teachers; many of them have other roles outside of teaching, like coaching or working with organizations, and they can provide useful information.

强烈建议如果在美高一定要利用好身边的资源，就算在很村很偏僻的地方其实也有很多机会，比如养老院，动物救助中心，儿童辅导中心。这些机构在美国很常见，可以加入学校的社团一起去做义工。如果想自己开创一个组织，可以做一个创建一个club，做一个club leader然后带领团队一起做。不要担心万一没有人加入怎么办，只管去做就好了，在途中总会遇到同样感兴趣的人。可以多跟自己的老师聊聊天，分享自己想要做的事，因为很多老师除了教课以外还担任着其他的职责。比如教练，某机构的合作人，某慈善机构的长期合作伙伴等等等等。跟他们聊天会收到很多有用的信息
